Selecting an ApplicantBefore selecting an applicant for a vacancy, you should carry out the following steps:
Check whether there are applicants in the applicant pool who might be considered for the vacancy as well as those already assigned to it. Follow the procedure described in Searching for Applicants Using User-Definable Qualifications Profiles or Searching for Applicants Using Requirements Profiles for Positions .
Assign any such applicants from the applicant pool to the vacancy. To do this, follow the procedure described in Assigning Applicants From the Applicant Pool to a Vacancy .
From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose
The
Applicant Selection
screen appears.
Enter the key for the vacancy to be filled in the
Vacancy
field and enter any other selection criteria necessary.
Choose
.
The
Applicant Selection
screen appears.
Position the cursor on the desired applicant in the list displayed and choose
Short profile
.
The Display text screen appears, displaying a short profile of the selected applicant.
Use this short profile to check the applicant's suitability.
Go back, by choosing
.
The
Applicant Selection
screen appears.
If applicable, change the applicant’s vacancy assignment status.
To change the status to: |

If necessary, repeat steps 4 through 9 for other applicants.
You have selected an applicant for the vacancy.
Note
You have now changed the vacancy assignment status of certain applicants. This usually means that certain follow-up activities must be carried out for these applicants.
