Searching for Applicants Using User-Definable Qual. Profiles

Prerequisites

You can only use this applicant search option if you are using Recruitment in conjunction with Personnel Development .

You can carry out this evaluation for either internal, external, or all applicants.

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Human Resources Next navigation step Personnel Management Next navigation step Recruitment Next navigation step Selection procedure Next navigation step Applicant pool Next navigation step Via qualifications Next navigation step <Internal/External/All> applicants Next navigation step .   2. The system displays the Find Object(s) for Qualifications/Requirements screen.

  3. You have several options for entering desired qualifications and displaying applicants:

  4. To select qualifications,

    choose Qualifications on the tab index .

    Under Find in the search area, choose the object type Qualifications .

    Use the search helps to choose the qualifications you want applicants to possess. For information on working with the object manager in Personnel Development, see Working with the Object Manager .

    In the work area, state whether the selected qualifications are mandatory. Flag the Essential requirements indicator.

    Note that if you define several essential qualifications, the system will suggest applicants who possess only one of the qualifications specified.

    You have the option of entering the proficiency level required for each qualification. You can either choose an individual value or an interval value for the Proficiency level.

    Under the Option column, enter the degree to which the proficiency in the qualification should be fulfilled.

    To make additional restrictions on object types,

    On the tab index, choose Object Type Restriction.

    Select a restriction (e.g. Applicant , External person or Position ) and choose .

    The system searches for the restricted object types and takes into account or expands on the qualification entries you made (e.g. the position requirements).

    To enter additional restrictions,

    On the tab index, choose Additional Restrictions.

    Enter a restriction (such as Applicant ) and choose .

    The system searches for additionally restricted object types, taking into account the qualifications you entered.

    To insert qualifications profile/requirements profile,

    under Add qualifications/requirements for, select a relevant profile for the chosen object type (e.g. position). Enter the object type key (e.g. position number) and choose .

    The system searches for additionally restricted object types, taking into account the qualification entries you made.

  5. The Find Qualifications screen appears.

  6. The applicants who possess the required qualifications are displayed in list form.

  7. It is possible to navigate from this list. The following options are available:

To navigate to the original application documents,

select the desired applicant, and choose Display facsimiles .

A viewer appears which displays the original documents in SAP ArchiveLink.

To navigate to the short profile,

select the desired applicant, and choose Short profile .

The Display text screen appears. The applicant's short profile is displayed on this screen.

To assign an applicant to a vacancy,

select the desired applicant, and choose Assign vacancy .

The Assign vacancy dialog box appears.

Enter the desired vacancy, and choose .

The applicant is assigned to the vacancy.

To view an applicant's profile,

Start of the navigation path select the desired applicant, and choose Goto Next navigation step Display profile End of the navigation path . The system displays the Applicants: Change Profile screen.

Change the proficiency levels for the individual qualifications or create new qualifications. To learn how to do this, refer to the Personnel Development documentation under Create profile . Start with step 6.

Result

The system displays a list of applicants who have at least one of the qualifications required. Navigate from this list to desired options.
