Making the Help Center Available for SAP Applications
Use
In the Help Center, you can provide users with process-specific company information about applications of SAP Business Suite. The Help Center gives users access to the information provided, and to the application help shipped by SAP.
Installation
The Help Center application is on the SAP NetWeaver platform of SAP Business Suite. You install the Help Center application using the SAP_BASIS software component of the SAP NetWeaver usage type AS ABAP.
Basic Configuration
You perform the basic configuration of the Help Center in the Implementation Guide (IMG) of the SAP system. To configure the search for Help Center content, you need to make special settings.
Help Center Specifications
The Help Center is activated as standard for Web Dynpro ABAP applications; for ABAP transaction dynpros it is optional and you can activate it manually.

Make sure that administrators and process experts have the necessary authorizations.

Activate the Help Center in the current client of the SAP system for ABAP transaction dynpros and decide how you want the Help Center to be displayed for Web Dynpro ABAP applications.

Define a repository for files that are to be linked to from the Help Center.

If you want to use a shared network folder as the repository, enter this with its complete path.

If you want to use the repository of SAP Solution Manager, make sure that the required RFC connections exist for power users and users of SAP applications, and activate the corresponding Help Center functions in the Implementation Guide.

If you want to make the search for content about the application available in the Help Center, make the relevant configuration settings.

Define which sections the Help Center will have to structure its contents and define their order.

In exceptional cases, hide the help link in the Help Center but make sure it remains available for users who need this help. If you use the help link, make the necessary configuration settings so that you can search SAP Library.
