Labor Demand Planning
Use
You can use Labor Demand Planning (LDP) as part of Labor Management (LM) to view a graphical display of planned workload data, based on the picking and packing outbound processes. This enables you to plan resources and workloads more efficiently. You can run LDP on a mobile tablet device or on a desktop PC.
The advantages of using LDP include the following:

You can carry out planning without having to carry out a lot of preparation and customizing steps

You do not have to use Engineered Labor Standards (ELS) as LDP usually works with historical workload records instead. For more information, see Historical Workload Records.

You do not have to use Preprocessing as LDP usually works with historical workload records instead. For more information, see Planned Workload for Outbound Delivery Orders.
You can use LDP to carry out the following tasks:

Display planned workload records for a selection based on a particular time interval, activity areas and external process steps. You can also display details for the selected planned workload records, for example, how the records are distributed to activity areas and external process steps. Define views for selecting data relevant to a certain area of responsibility. For more information, see Creating and Using Views.

Calculate a planned duration for planned workload records. For more information, see Planned Duration for Planned Workload Records.

Use planned workloads for outbound delivery orders. For more information, see Planned Workload for Outbound Delivery Orders.

Forecast workload. For more information, see Forecasting Workload.
When you activate LDP, the planning features of LM are also activated.
Prerequisites

You have activated LDP in Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management under .

The storage bins of the packing area you use are assigned to an activity area and have a sort sequence.

You have set up radio frequency (RF) for picking and packing. For more information, see Radio Frequency Framework.

Activities
A typical outbound process using LDP could run as follows:

The system assigns outbound delivery orders (ODOs) to routes.

The system creates picking waves.
-
You use LDP to check the planned workload based on ODOs.
-
The system releases the waves, creates warehouse orders, and assigns them to queues.
-
You use LDP to check the planned workload based on ODOs and on warehouse orders/warehouse tasks.
