Displaying Workload on the User Interface
Use
The user interface (UI) of Labor Demand Planning (LDP) displays graphical information about the workload for particular teams or areas in your warehouse over a selected time interval.
Features
Workload Overview
Time
You can choose the time interval for which you would like to see the workload, as well as the size of the time slots to which the workload is aggregated. The time slot size can be hour, day, or week, depending on what level of detail you are interested in; however, the time interval is always measured in days. If you display the hourly workload, all the hours of the chosen day are displayed. If you display the weekly workload, the entire week of the day you have chosen is displayed.
View
A view can aggregate the workload of a certain area or team in your warehouse. You can customize your views as described in Creating and Using Views. You can display the workload for multiple views in order to get an overview and to compare them.
Workload Details
When you choose a view, you can display the following details for one of the selected time slots:
-
Area details display how the workload is distributed across the different activity areas and process steps that are aggregated in a view.
-
Accuracy level details display the precision of the workload information. Workload that comes from warehouse orders and tasks is very precise, as it is based on actual warehouse activities. Workload that comes from outbound delivery orders (ODOs) is less precise as it relies on a prediction of the warehouse activities that will be caused by ODOs, for which no warehouse tasks have been created yet. For more information about ODO workload, see Planned Workload for Outbound Delivery Orders. Workload that comes from a forecast is the least precise type of workload, as it is predicted by analyzing historical workload records. For more information about forecasting, see Forecasting Workload.
-
Due date details display whether the workload can still be completed on time or is already too late. Workload which has a planned completion date and time that occurs before the current date and time is marked as too late.
Settings
You can choose the warehouse number for which you would like to display the workload. If you have set a default warehouse number in the user parameter /SCWM/LGN, this warehouse number is preselected on the UI.
You can choose the unit of measure in which you would like to display the workload. As well as the weight, volume, and capacity consumption, you can display the duration, required FTE, and number of items. The number of items is the number of documents that make up the workload, which could be the number of warehouse tasks or delivery items.
You can also choose how to distribute the workload over the available time slots. The following options are available:
-
Early displays the workload aggregated on the planned starting date and time of the workload
-
Late displays the workload aggregated on the planned completion date and time of the workload
-
Equal displays the workload distributed over the time interval between planned start and completion date and time of the workload
The planned start and completion times are based on the wave template.
For more information about workload distribution, see Workload Distribution.
Business Add-In: Define Working Time of One Full Time Equivalent
You can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) Define Working Time of One Full Time Equivalent to define your own values for the working time of one full time equivalent (FTE). This time is used for calculating the required number of FTEs for each time slot, based on the planned workload duration. For more information, see the documentation of this BAdI in Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management under .
