Creating Redirections A subscriber requests that his newspaper or magazine be redirected to his temporary address during a period spent abroad. Regular delivery to the original ship-to party address does not take place during this time. You record the limited change to delivery as a redirection.
Note
There must be an appropriate delivery viability set in the system for the redirection abroad, for example delivery type:
Foreign Post
, geographical unit:
Italy
.
The default delivery type for redirections should be entered in the general control parameters for sales (Customizing for
Media Sales and Distribution
) if applicable.
If you select the
Inactive Items
indicator in Customizing for
Periodical Sales and Distribution
, you can also execute this function if the order item has been terminated or there is an unlimited suspension.
Select the item in the item overview or call up the item data on the item to be changed.
See Changing Subscription Orders and Changing External Delivery Orders
Choose
or
The maintenance screen for the change item appears.
Enter the following data:
Period for redirection (
Valid from/to
)
Choose the temporary address or create it as a delivery address.
The system uses the temporary address (for example, the country is the geographical unit) to automatically determine the parameters for the delivery viability set. If the system finds several delivery viability sets, it lists these in a dialog box for selection.
Save the changed order.
Deliveries are made to the subscriber's temporary address throughout the validity period of the change item. Postal shipment (e.g. via airmail) may result in increased shipping costs that are not covered by the regular subscription and are invoiced separately.
