Creating Partial Suspensions

Prerequisites

A customer that is a company (e.g. corporate group, authority) that subscribes to several copies of an edition wants to suspend delivery of certain copies while the recipients are on vacation. You record each suspension (depending on the length of the recipient's absence) as a partial suspension.

Note Note

The change function partial suspension is only available if the schedule line quantity is more than one.

The change function is not available for renewal subscriptions .

Procedure

  1. Select the item in the item overview or call up the item data on the item to be changed.

  2. See Changing Subscription Orders and Changing Third-Party Delivery Orders .

  3. Choose Partial suspension

  4. The maintenance screen for the change item appears. The system has initialized the schedule line quantity and prefaced it with a minus sign.

  5. Enter the following data:

  • Suspension period ( Valid from/to )

  • Partial quantity

  • Suspension reason

  1. Enter any further data required by the system.

  2. Save the changed order.

Result

Planning is not performed for the suspended quantity during the period of the partial suspension, so that the quantity is not delivered. The sold-to party can be awarded a credit memo for the issues not purchased. In the case of third-party delivery orders, the credit memo is granted by the other publisher.
