I am a Presales Consultant

As a Presales Consultant I possess advanced/expert level knowledge of my solution portfolio and participate in the sales cycles as a member of the account team in support of the sales account strategy. My role involves interacting with prospective customers through executive meetings, discovery conversations, solution demonstrations, executive presentations and follow-up discussions. I provide advanced/expert level knowledge of SAP and partner software solutions in my solution portfolio.

My Key Tasks are to:

  • Plan, organize and deliver high quality value demonstrations to customers
  • Work with the partners sales team to understand the needs of the customer and show how SAP software will benefit the customer financially with ROI calculations
  • Coach the partners presales team on the methodology used to demo to customers
  • Work with sales and implementation teams to achieve a successful customer rollout of an SAP project – Sales to Delivery Hand-over is a main task in this context
  • Support the customer through product/solution related questions and answer any concerns they may have with SAP solutions
  • Gain knowledge and qualification on SAP solutions and strategy so they are familiar with the product and roadmap to cross sell and upsell
  • Understand their chosen industry well enough to be able to talk to the customer in their language
  • Understand SAPs partner infrastructure so they can find training and other content quickly and easily
  • Understand the competitive landscape from alternative vendors to SAP and partners so they can position the correct SAP solution to the customer

My Areas of Expertise include:

  • Demonstrating SAP solutions to customers
  • Understanding of competitive solutions and how to talk through the benefits of an SAP solution
  • Specialist industry knowledge for chosen verticals
  • Understanding how to plan and run a customer discovery session
  • Working with sales teams on RFI’s to answer technical questions
