Creation of Campaigns in SAP Media This function can be used to create media-specific campaigns in the SAP Media marketing master data with or without reference to the campaigns in SAP CRM.
If you create campaigns with reference to SAP CRM, you should use the campaigns in SAP for Media to provide media-specific attributes for the SAP CRM campaigns. The media-specific campaign attributes include the validity period, usage, or template documents.
If you create campaigns without reference to SAP CRM, for example because you have not implemented SAP CRM, you should use campaigns in SAP Media to group the template documents that have been assigned.
You can create media-specific campaigns as follows:
In the
Marketing Planner
in
SAP CRM
See also: Creating Campaigns in SAP Media
In the SAP Media marketing master data
If you do not use the SAP CRM integration and create your campaigns in the SAP Media master data, you can enter orders for campaigns with template documents in the SAP Media Customer Interaction Center (CIC)
.
However, campaign management cannot take place with campaign planning and analysis in this case, since the SAP CRM marketing functions are not available.
If you create campaigns with reference to SAP CRM, you have transported campaigns to
Project System
using the
Marketing Planner
transfer function.
If you create campaigns without reference to SAP CRM, you do not need to transfer them.
If you create the campaigns in SAP Media with reference to SAP CRM, you can assign media-specific attributes to the SAP CRM campaigns in SAP Media. The media-specific campaign attributes include the validity period, usage, and template documents.
If you create campaigns in SAP Media without reference to SAP CRM, for example because you have not implemented SAP CRM, you can use the campaigns in SAP Media to group the assigned template documents.
To create the media-specific campaigns, please proceed as follows:
Create template documents: template
offers
for
Media Sales and Distribution
and template
orders
for
Advertising Management
.
During creation of a template document, you enter an offer or an order with data that is valid for all the orders that are to be created with reference to a campaign. Each template document has a validity period.
The template documents in
Advertising Management
also have a copying variant. The copying variant determines which data is copied from the template order when the order is created.
Note
Please ensure that you use a copying variant that copies the sold-to party and advertiser.
If the sold-to party and advertiser are not copied, they cannot be replaced by the business partner identified by the
business partner search
during order entry. The call center agent must specify the sold-to party and advertiser manually for each order, which they enter with reference to a campaign.

The business partner for whom the order is entered is determined by the data flow for the dialog method used, or the BSP application.

Create campaigns. To do this, enter the campaign attributes, assign template documents to the campaigns, and, if necessary, restrict the validity area of the campaigns.
Enter the attributes that belong to the campaign here, such as the validity period.
You can also specify whether the campaign is business partner-independent and the
SAP Media
component (
Media Sales and Distribution
and/or
Advertising Management)
in which it is used for campaigns that are created with reference to SAP CRM.
If you are creating a business partner-dependent campaign, you must assign one or more target groups to the campaign in the Marketing Planner in SAP CRM. You can skip this step for business partner-independent campaigns.
The business partner-dependent and -independent campaigns are displayed separately in the BSP application
Selection of a Marketing Campaign
(ISMCAMPAIGNPICK)
.
You can also enter a search attribute of your choice for each campaign and specify which group the campaign belongs to. You can use the search attribute to filter the campaigns displayed in the BSP application
Selection of a Marketing Campaign
(ISMCAMPAIGNPICK). The system also uses the grouping attribute to group the business partner-dependent and -independent campaigns displayed in the BSP application and in the data environment.

Assign one or more template documents with a validity period to the campaign.
If you want to restrict the validity of the campaign, you can also assign a sales area, and in
Advertising Management
, an item type, to the campaign. If you do not assign the campaign a sales area or an item type, it is valid for all sales areas and item types. You can use the sales area and item type as search criteria in the input help (F4) for the
Campaign
field in order entry.
