Preparing PM/CS Orders for the CMC

Use

Before you can view PM/CS orders in the CMC, you have to select an order code on order header level. You can use all types of maintenance and service orders in the CMC, including refurbishment orders .

If you want to use the function to group labor and machine operations in an order, you have to include the machine operation indicator in the operation data.

Prerequisites

You have maintained the valid CMC order codes and their priority rules in Customizing.

Procedure

Assigning an Order Code During Order Creation

  1. Depending on the type of order you want to create, choose:

  • For PM Orders

Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Plant Next navigation step Maintenance Next navigation step Maintenance Next navigation step Processing Next navigation step Order Next navigation step Create (General) End of the navigation path or Create (Special) .

  • For CS Orders

Start of the navigation path Logist Next navigation step i Next navigation step cs Next navigation step Customer Next navigation step Service Next navigation step Service Next navigation step Processing Next navigation step Order Next navigation step Service Order Next navigation step Create (General) End of the navigation path or Create (Special)

If required select the order type of the order you want to create. For example, PM04 for special order type refurbishment order.

The Create Order: Initial Screen appears.

  1. Create the order in the usual way.

For more information on creating PM/CS orders, see Orders (CS-SE/PM-WOC-MO) .

Caution Caution

The Priority field on the Create Order: Initial Screen and on the Header Data tabstrip on the Create XX order: Central Header screen is not used by the CMC functions. This field is part of standard functionality, and has no meaning for the CMC.

End of the caution.
  1. On the Addit. Data tabstrip, select the required Order code .

Note Note

The field Priority and the indicator Prio Manually Changed are entered by the system automatically only if an authorized user manually changes the existing order code from within the CMC itself.

End of the note.
  1. Save the order.

Assigning/Changing an Order Code in an Existing Order

  1. Depending on the type of order you want to create choose:

  • For PM Orders

Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Plant Next navigation step Maintenance Next navigation step Maintenance Next navigation step Processing Next navigation step Order Next navigation step Change End of the navigation path .

  • For CS Orders

Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Customer Next navigation step Service Next navigation step Service Next navigation step Processing Next navigation step Order Next navigation step Service Order Next navigation step Change End of the navigation path .

The Change Order: Initial Screen appears.

  1. Enter the order number of the order that you want to change.

  2. On the Addit. Data tabstrip, you can either:

  • Select an Order code; or

  • Change the existing Order code .

Note Note

If you change the existing order code, the CMC displays a warning message advising that the priority value calculation will also change (for example, from time-based to stock-based or vice versa).

If the order has relationships, ensure that you change the order code for all of the orders in that relationship. If you do not change all of the order codes, the CMC processes the orders individually.

End of the note.
  1. Save the order.

Adding the Machine Operation Indicator to the Operation Details

  1. In the relevant order, select the Operations tabstrip.

  2. Select the Enhancement button.

  3. In the Field Key field enter the name of the field key for the machine operation indicator as defined in Customizing.

  4. The system displays the indicator for machine operations. You can now select this indicator to group labor and machine operations in the order, if required.

  5. Save the order.

For more information about how to configure the field key, see Machine Operation Indicator .
