Operations with Labor and Machine
Use
An order may have both labor and machine operations. The CMC can group these operations if you activate this function by flagging the machine operation in the order. The CMC uses the duration of the operation that lasts the longest.
Caution
SAP provides a field for the machine operation indicator in the system. However, you must include this field on the
Enhancement
tabstrip in the operation details. If you do not include this field, you cannot use this function. For more information, see

Operations 10 (labor) and 20 (machine) have duration 5 and 3 hours respectively, and belong together. You have flagged the machine operation. At runtime the system groups the operations and sets the maximum duration to 5 hours for both.
You define whether the CMC uses this feature in CMC Customizing under CMC Profiles .
Prerequisites
You have defined a field key for the machine operation indicator and assigned it to default values for order and task list data.
You have added the machine operation indicator to the relevant order. For more information see Preparing PM/CS Orders for the CMC .
The labor operation precedes the machine operation(s).
