SAP NetWeaver Business Client in Travel Management
Use
You can use SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) to run the role-based Travel Management applications with the Web Dynpro ABAP-based user interface.
SAP NetWeaver Business Client provides an alternative means of accessing the Travel Management applications, which by default are available in Employee Self-Service ( ESS ) and Manager Self-Service ( MSS ) in the SAP NetWeaver Portal.
Integration
The Travel Management applications in SAP NetWeaver Business Client are fully integrated with Travel Management. The Customizing settings and the travel and expense data reside in the back-end system.
To navigate to the Web Dynpro ABAP-based applications of Travel Management, SAP NetWeaver Business Client uses the methods defined in the
SWO1
transaction for object type TRAVEL_ NAV .
The Web Dynpro ABAP-based Customizing applications for the Travel Policy Administrator role are available only in SAP NetWeaver Business Client.
If you activate the business function HCM, ESS with Web Dynpro ABAP ( HCM _ ESS _WDA_1), you can use the Employee Self-Service (WDA) in SAP NetWeaver Business Client for HTML. The Employee Self-Service (WDA) also contains the Employee Self-Service Trips and Expenses .
Prerequisites
SAPNetWeaver Business Client has the same prerequisites asESSin theSAPNetWeaver Portal. There is one exception: ForSAPNetWeaver Business Client, you do
not
need to make the settings in Customizing for
Travel Management
under
Employee Self-Service
Homepage Framework.
The following prerequisites also apply:
You have installed and configured SAP NetWeaver Business Client.
You have assigned one or more roles to the employees.
The ESS and MSS roles in the SAP NetWeaver Portal are not required.
