Displaying/Changing Mapping
Relations
You use this editor to display and change a mapping relation for an outbound interface. To do so, the outbound interface must be assigned an inbound interface of a receiver and a mapping. The complicated scenario whereby a message is divided up and sent to multiple receiver interfaces is described in Mapping Relations with an Interface Split.
You have created a new mapping relation or opened an existing one.
For more information about creating objects, see the Creating a New Object section.

When you create a new mapping relation, you can enter a placeholder (*) either in the sender business system field or in the receiver business system field. For more information, see the Default Procedure section of this documentation.

If the receiver system is an SAP system, you can also use the RFC namespace.
For more information about opening objects, see the Object Editors section.

You can also open a mapping relation by navigating
to the Display Overview of
Mapping Relations editor, selecting a mapping relation and choosing
Open (
).
The editor is structured as follows:
Contains the following fields:
· Sender business system
· Sender (outbound) interface (name and namespace)
· Receiver business system
You cannot change any entries in these fields since the values were defined when you created the mapping relation.
The status of the mapping relation is also displayed and you have the option of entering a short description.
The mapping relation is displayed in the form of a table.

Each table line represents an assignment to an inbound interface. If the scenario occurs whereby a message is divided up and sent to multiple inbound interfaces, then multiple table lines are shown (see: Mapping Relations with an Interface Split).
The table has the following columns:
Displays the name and the namespace of the inbound interface of the receiver. You can enter an interface in change mode. You have two options:
· Manual entry

If you enter an interface manually, the system does not check whether the interface is defined in the Integration Repository.
· Search help
To call the search help,
choose the Search Help icon (
).
The system displays a list of interfaces (including their name and
namespace) that you can select from.
Here you can select an interface mapping
from the Integration Repository. To do so, you must call search help (
).

Within a mapping relation it is only possible to reference interface mappings that are saved in the Integration Repository. Repository objects are release-specific. For this reason, you must specify the release in the Integration Directory that the interface mapping is to be taken from. Therefore, you must use search help to specify an interface mapping and not enter one manually. This ensures that the correct release is always assigned for an interface mapping.
