Personalizing the Home Page

End users can personalize the launchpad home page by organizing groups of apps, and changing the visual theme.

The ability to personalize the home page must be enabled in the launchpad configuration. For more information, see Launchpad Configuration Parameters.

The launchpad home page contains predefined groups. Each group contains tiles that represent business applications. Clicking or tapping a tile launches the underlying application.

The My Home group is a default group provided by SAP and you may have additional groups that have been defined by an administrator. The My Home group is only displayed if it contains tiles – if it's empty, it can only be seen in personalization mode. You can also create new groups, and manage the existing groups.

Note Administrators can lock predefined groups to prevent personalization. Locked groups are displayed above the My Home group and cannot be edited.

To make changes to the home page, click or tap (Personalize home page). The following table describes the actions you can perform in personalization mode.

Action	Description
Add a group	In the space between existing groups or at the bottom of the home page, click or tap Add Group, enter a group name in the text box that opens, and press `Enter`. The new group, with a tile placeholder, is added to the home page.
Add tiles to a group	For more information, see Adding and Removing Apps
Rename tiles	Click or tap the tile and choose Settings. In the Settings dialog box that opens, provide a new title. You can also provide a subtitle and additional information.
Rename groups	Double-click or double-tap the group name, edit it in the text box, and press `Enter`. To discard the change while the text box is in focus, press the `Esc` key.
Remove a tile	Click or tap the (remove) button at the top right corner of the tile.
Rearrange tiles	Drag the tile to its new location, in this group or in another group. You can also click or tap the tile and use the Move button to select the group to which you want to move the tile. This is handy if the target group isn't adjacent to the original group.
Delete a group	You can delete a group that you created. In the group header, click or tap Delete. The group is deleted along with all its tiles.
Reset a group	You can reset a predefined group that you personalized, back to its initial state. To do this, in the group header, click or tap Reset.
Hide a group	In the group header, choose Hide. The ability to hide groups has to be enabled by an administrator. For more information, see Launchpad Configuration Parameters
Move a group	Drag the group title to the new location in the home page.
Move tiles	Click or tap the tile and choose Move. The Move to Group dialog box opens where you can select the group to which you want to move the tile. You can also drag tiles directly to the new location.

Additional options for personalization are available in the Options menu, accessed by clicking your user name:
