Procedure documentationSending Notifications to All or Individual Users  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Procedure

In the subscription you can define whether notifications are sent to all or just particular users. For example, if you have defined a selection that selects work items for approving purchase orders, you can define whether all responsible agents are notified about the work items, or just agents A and B.

If all users are to be notified you only need to define one subscription. All responsible agents then receive a notification.

If only particular users are to be notified, define a subscription for each user. In this case, of all the responsible agents, only those for whom you created a subscription will receive a notification.

Prerequisites

You have defined a selection and specified to which category the selected work items will be assigned (see also: Defining the Selection).

Procedure

...

       1.      Create a new subscription in the administration application (see also: Defining Subscriptions):

                            a.      On the Basic Data tab page, specify the category that you specified in the selection of the relevant work items.

                            b.      On the Message tab page, define the delivery type and the structure of the notification.

                            c.      On the Schedule tab page, define the delivery schedule.

                            d.      On the Recipient tab page, define who is to receive notifications:

To send the notifications to all users, select the Subscription Valid for All Users option.

To send the notifications to a particular user, in the Subscription Valid For field, enter the name of the relevant SAP user.

       2.      Save the subscription.
