Process Chain: Initial Data Loading
Technical name: 0PP_INIT_P01
Purpose
This process chain activates and periodically fills all data targets for backlogged production orders (InfoArea Production (0PP), display component Production (0PP)).
With this process chain, the initial data set is updated (initialization of the data process) in the data targets affected (
Backlogged Production Orders (0PP_C15)).
The data loading processes and the associated activation of ODS objects can be scheduled in one step and monitored centrally in the log view. Individual scheduling and monitoring of InfoPackages does not apply, nor do activation of ODS objects and subsequent further posting in the data targets.

This process chain has the following scheduling options:
- Delivered scheduling option: planned start: January 1, 2003 – 12:00 a.m. with daily repetition
- Variant setting for the start process: direct scheduling
Prerequisites
Beware of the following points during the transfer of the Business Content:
- If you are using an SAP source system:
- During the transfer, collect the process chain 0PP_INIT_P01 as usual with the necessary objects (or, where applicable, data flow before and/or after).
- Beforehand, when assigning the source system, selected the affected SAP source system and the SAP BW application component itself.
- Transfer the collected objects.
- If you are using more than one SAP source system (with identical SAP DataSources):
- During the transfer, collect the process chain 0PP_INIT_P01 as usual with the necessary objects (or, where applicable, data flow before and/or after).
- Beforehand, when assigning the source system, selected the affected SAP source systems and the SAP BW application component itself.
- Transfer the collected objects.
Following the transfer of the process chain, the following postprocesses are required:
- In the transaction Process Chains (RSPC), select your transferred process chain.
- If you selected more than one SAP source system during the transfer, remove the link between the processes of the type Load Data, which have InfoPackages with identical InfoSources, and the successors. Then add, for example, the process type AND and toggle this connection between the just-removed link.
- Following the start process, several data loading processes from the SAP R/3 system are triggered in parallel. Check whether there are enough processes available in the source system. If necessary, modify the link to a sequential one.
- Adjust the scheduling options of your start process to your requirements. To do this, double click on the process type Start.
- If required, enhance the process chain with further processes, e.g. the setup of indices or the compression of InfoCubes.
- Then save, check and activate the process chain and provide information, where applicable, about which server the process chain should be scheduled on. Then use the function Activate and Schedule to start the process chain according to your scheduling options.
Following the successful run of this process chain, you can transfer the process chain
Delta Data Loading (0PP_DELTA_P01) and, where applicable, adjust/enhance and activate/schedule it.
The process chain supports SAP R/3 standard systems as of Release 4.0B.
