You can select one public report set and one public dashboard to be associated with this context.

When users from application groups assigned to the context access the Reports component, they see the reports in this report set. When users access the Dashboard component, they see the dashboard selected for this context.

In addition to displaying reports assigned to a context, users can create their own reports and dashboards if they have the correct permission. They can save them for private use, or for use by certain application groups.

Prerequisites

You are an administrator or a user assigned to an application group with Create/Edit Contexts permissions. If Contexts is unavailable to you, it means you do not have the correct permissions.

You have created a context. For more information, see Context Development.

The administrator has created a dimensional model.

The administrator or an end-user with Save Public permission and Display Advanced Report Settings permission who has access to the Reports and Dashboard components has created a public report set and/or public dashboard. For information about the Reports component, see the Reports Help. For information about the Dashboard component, see the Dashboard Help.

Features

You can do the following to pick public reports and dashboards for the context:

  • (Required) Select a context from the Context drop-down list.

  • Review all public report sets in the Public report sets list. The highlighted report set is the one assigned to the selected context.

  • Select a public report set and/or public dashboard for the context.

  • Clear a report set or dashboard from the context by clicking Clear.

To pick public reports and dashboards for a context, choose Pick Reports and Dashboards from the Context section.
