You can set the layout of the Ranking report by setting row limits, selecting the dimension displayed down the report, suppressing portions of long labels, controlling the display of 80/20 columns, controlling the display of row totals, and setting user-defined hierarchies.

Features

You can do the following to set the presentation of the Ranking report.

  • Select the dimension to rank down the table.

  • Select whether to rank the dimension members by one metric, two metrics, or two time periods. For more information, see Layout Selection in Ranking.

  • You can include 80/20 columns to display three additional columns for %, Cum. %, and Cum. Rank in the report.

The % column shows the percentage that the selected member contributes to the total metric. The Cum. % column shows the percentage that the selected member, and all the members above it, contribute to the total metric. The Cum. Rank column shows the percentage that the selected member, and all the members above it, represent within the total number of members in the displayed dimension.

  • You can control the display of column totals at the bottom of the table. Each number represents the sum of the numbers in that column. If the column is a percentage, such as % Variance, then the Total number in that column represents the percent variance, rather than the sum.

When used with the Show 80/20 Columns option, you would not see totals for the Cum. % and Cum. Rank because their totals are already displayed in the last noncalculated row of the report.

  • You can change presentation settings that are standard throughout Ranking, Navigator, Exceptions, and Contributions. For more information, see Presentation Setting.
