Alerts and Email Notification Subscriptions 
You receive a notification any time a metric set becomes active for a workflow step to which you are assigned. Notifications are posted in the My Alerts section of the Home component or are delivered in email, or both, depending on your subscriptions settings. Notification apprises users of next steps and keeps the metrics process moving forward.
Prerequisites
You have access to the Home component. If you do not see the Home tab in the application, it means that your administrator has not given you access to it.
Features
You can do the following to specify how you want to receive alerts:
You can specify that you want to receive alerts in the Home page.
You can specify that you want to receive alerts in the Home page and also by email.
If you are assigned to the data entry step, when the metric set is released you receive an alert. If you are assigned to the approval step following data entry, and the metric set moves to you for approval, you receive the following alert. If you are assigned to the data entry step, or if you are a previous reviewer in a list of Approval steps, if the metric set is rejected and the metric set moves to you, you receive an alert.
