Function documentationPresentation Setting in Exceptions Locate this document in the navigation structure

You can set the presentation of the Exceptions report by setting row limits, selecting the dimension displayed down the report, setting the report type, suppressing portions of long labels, controlling the display of row totals, and setting user-defined hierarchies.

Features

You can do the following to set the presentation of the Exceptions report.

  • You can set triggers by setting high and low values by which to detect exceptions in the data. At a glance, you can review exceptions by color-coded values. Any values that meet the high value are colored in green. Any values that meet the low value are colored in red. Any values that fall between the high and low values are colored in black. You can leave any text boxes blank if you do not want to monitor exceptions for a particular column or a particular high or low value.

  • You can select the dimension to rank down the table.

  • You can select whether to display the dimension members by two metrics, two dimension members, or two time periods.

  • You can control the display of column totals at the bottom of the table. Each number represents the sum of the numbers in that column. If the column is a percentage, such as % Variance, then the Total number in that column represents the percent variance, rather than the sum.

  • You can change presentation settings that are standard throughout Ranking, Navigator, Exceptions, and Contributions.

For more information, see Presentation Setting.
