You can develop a dashboard that has up to four panels.

Features

When you create a dashboard, you enter the required information as follows:

Specify a title for the panel

The empty panel on the right side of the dialog box now displays the title in the top-left corner.

Specify the type of module for the panel

There are four types of modules:

  • Benchmark — Analyzes dimension members based on targets and variances to the target.

  • Trend Chart — Charts the trend of up to 10 dimension members over a time period.

  • Rank Top 10 — Ranks five dimension members by a time period or a metric.

  • Horizontal Bar Chart — Charts dimension members based on a metric and a time period.

Specify the model to use

The model contains the data to be used in the panel.

The layout options vary according to the selected model type.

Link to report

You can add a Report link in the panel that displays a report in the Reports component. Users who have access to the dashboard can click the link to go directly to the report in the Reports component.

Activities

  • To create a new dashboard, click New to display the New Dashboard dialog box.

    The four panels of the Dashboard component are cleared to prepare for the new dashboard panels you are defining.

  • In the panel where you want to create your first report, click Add Panel to display the Add Dashboard Panel dialog box.
