Properties for Perspectives and Objectives
You can set properties for the selected perspective or objective.
In Design Manually mode, the properties control the display and layout of the object in the published diagram. In Custom Image mode, the properties control the display and layout of the hotspot object so that you can more easily see and move it into place. The hotspot itself is invisible in the published diagram.
You can update the properties of all perspectives and objectives. For information, see Diagram Properties. Individual properties take precedence over default properties.
You are in either Design Manually or Custom Image mode.
You can define the following properties:
Feature |
Description |
|---|---|
Choose the Shape for the outer box |
Default inherits the shape from the diagram properties. None indicates no shape for the object's outer box.
If you are displaying status indicators, their position in the published diagram is based on the lower-right corner of the invisible object contours, regardless of the shape of the object itself. The object contours are defined by the green points you see when you select the object. End of the note. |
Choose the Border color for the text and outline of the object |
The border is the outline of the outer box. Default inherits the color from the diagram's default properties. You must have a shape to have a color for the border outline. If you have None for the shape, only the text displays in the color. |
Choose the Background color for the fill area behind the text |
Default inherits the color from the diagram's default properties. You must have a shape to have a background color. If you have None for the shape, the background color is picked up from whatever the box overlays. |
Specify a new Location for the object |
Location X is the horizontal location in pixels. The number is oriented from the left side of the window, which represents a value of 0. Location Y is the vertical location in pixels. The number is oriented from the top of the window, which represents a value of 0. For example, if X is 200 and Y is 300, the box is located 200 pixels from the left and 300 pixels down from the top. |
Specify a new Size for the object |
Specify a new width and height in pixels for the object. In Design Manually mode, a perspective and its associated objectives are coupled. The width and height of all the objectives within a perspective control the width and height of the surrounding perspective. |
Caution
Do not choose Auto-Layout mode after changing the location or size of an object. Auto-Layout organizes diagram objects into a predefined layout and cannot be undone.
