RFx Scoring

The Scoring page is created when the RFx phase is changed to Closed for Response. This page is created only if collaborative scoring is enabled in the RFx. For details, see RFx Collaborative Scoring Question Setup.

If collaborative scoring is enabled, an e-mail is sent to collaborative scorers when the RFx phase changes to Closed for Response and the Scoring page is created.

Enter scores for questions, if you are a designated scorer
Override scores, if you are have rights to finalize scores in the document

Collaborative Scoring Status

Function	Description
Collaborative Scoring Status	Indicates whether the RFx can currently be scored.

Data Presentation

Function	Description
Show selected proposals, one question at a time	Select this option to score one question at a time across all selected proposals.
Show all questions, one selected proposal at a time	Select this option to score one proposal at a time.

Working Set Selection

Function	Description
Show Only	Select the proposals to view: Assigned to Me or Show All.
Sort by	Sort the data by supplier name or score.
Proposal	Indicates the name of the proposal.
Supplier Name	Indicates the name of the supplier who returned the proposal.
# Scorable Q's	Indicates the number of questions that can be scored in the proposal.
# Unscored Q's	Indicates the number of questions that have not been scored in the proposal.
Score	Indicates the proposal's current score.

Field Help for the RFx Scoring Manager: One Question at a Time

The following fields and pages appear in the Scoring Manager if you selected Show selected proposals, one question at a time.

Function	Description
Section Set Navigation	Choose the Section Title link or the Edit icon for a question section to open it for scoring.
Working Set Navigation	Click the question number link or the Edit icon for a question to open it for scoring.
Enter Scores	Enter scores for the question in this table.
Show Only	From this drop-down list, select the questions and responses to view: My Unscored All Unscored Manually Scored Show All All Overridden Scores
Score	Enter your score for the supplier's answer in this column. Using a scale of 1 to 10, 1 is the lowest score and 10 is the highest (best) score. If private scoring is not enabled, you can also view the scores entered by other scorers for each question.
Scorer/Comment	Indicates the name of each scorer for this question, if private scoring is not enabled. Optionally, enter a comment in the text field.
Additional Info	This column displays any additional information about the question, if this field was not disabled in the RFx.
Weighted Average Score	For Manual scores, indicates the average of all scores that have been entered for the question. For Automatic scores, indicates the score calculated by the scoring engine. If scorers are given weights, the following formula is used to calculate a question score: (scorer1 weight x scorer1 score) + (scorerN weight x scorerN score) / scorer total weight = question score Example Collaborator1 has a weight of 10 and has entered a question score of 10. Collaborator2 has a weight of 1 and has entered a question score of 8. Collaborator3 has a weight of 4 and has entered a question score of 9. (10 x 10) + (1 x 8) + (4 x 9) / (10 + 1 + 4) = 9.6 144 / 15 = 9.6 Question score = 9.6 End of the example.
Final Score (Calculated)	Indicates the current average collaborative score as calculated by the system.
Final Score (Manually Entered)	Indicates the final score for the question if it has been manually entered to override collaborative scoring.

Field Help for the RFx Scoring Manager: One Proposal at a Time

The following fields and pages appear in the Scoring Manager if you selected Show all questions, one proposal at a time.

Function	Description
Section Set Navigation	Click the Section Title link or the Edit icon for a question section to open it for scoring.
Working Set Navigation	Click the question number link or the Edit icon for a question to open it for scoring.
Enter Scores	Enter scores for the question in this table.

Question Weight	Indicates the weight percentage represented by the question.
Score Type	Indicates whether the scoring for a question is manual or automatic.

Collaborative Scoring Rights

Collaborative scoring activities require different types of rights. The following list indicates the users who can perform each type of collaborative scoring activity:

Function	Description
Set up Collaborative Scoring	The document owner or any user with edit rights to the RFx.
Enter Collaborative Scores	Users who are entered as collaborators on the Header Tab and designated as Scorers on the RFx Setup: Scoring page.
Override Scores	Users who are entered as collaborators on the Header Tab, designated as Scorers, and have the Can Enter Final Scores box checked on the RFx Setup: Scoring page.
Close Scoring	The document owner or any user with edit rights to the RFx.
Reopen Scoring	The document owner or any user with edit rights to the RFx.
View Scores	In a public scoring event, or a private event for which the scores have been published, any buy-side user with view rights to the RFx. In a private scoring event for which the scores have not been published, only the document owner can view the scores.
