Collaborative scoring allows you to invite RFx collaborators to score questions based on their areas of expertise. You can give collaborators' scores the same weights or choose to weigh them differently based on their depth of knowledge or importance in your organization.

You can set up collaborative scoring if you are the document owner or any user with edit rights to the RFx.

The following is a quick reference guide to setting up collaborative scoring for RFx questions.

Activities

Create or Change RFx Type

To use collaborative scoring, enable it in the RFx type as follows:

  1. Choose   Administration   Document Setup   RFx Types  .

    A list of RFx document types appears.

  2. Choose Create to create an RFx, or select the name of an RFx type to edit and then choose Edit on the subsequent screen.

  3. Select the Questions checkbox to enable questions.

  4. Select the Enable Scoring checkbox and then select Collaborative as the Scoring Type.

  5. Select the Use Private Scoring checkbox if the collaborators should not see each other's scores.

  6. Select the Use Equally Weighted Average for All Scorers checkbox to use equal weights for each scorer, rather than setting weights individually. Deselect the checkbox to enable the RFx owner to set individual weights for scorers. This value can be changed in an RFx of this type.

  7. Enter additional data for the RFx type as needed.

  8. Save your entries.

Create RFx and Add Scorers

Add collaborators to the RFx and designate them as scorers as follows:

  1. Choose    Sourcing   RFx   Create RFx  .

    The Create RFx screen appears.

  2. Select an RFx type that specifies collaborative scoring as described above and then choose Create.

  3. Scroll down the Header page to add collaborators.

    Add all users you want to designate as scorers, including yourself. If you do not add yourself as a scorer, you cannot enter question scores, but you can override scores.

  4. In the RFx toolbar, choose   Document   Setup   .

  5. Select the Scoring tab.

  6. Choose Add to add scorers from the list of collaborators.

    Any user specified as a collaborator on the RFx header can be added as a scorer.

  7. Enter additional data for scoring as needed.

  8. Enter other Setup information, including the required Delivery Term on the Delivery Info tab.

  9. Save your entries.

Add Questions and Select Scoring Methods and Weights

To enable collaborative scoring for a question, you must enable manual scoring for the question and set its weight and the weight for its section as follows:

  1. On the Questions tab of the RFx, add questions.

  2. To select scoring methods and weights for questions, choose the Edit icon for a question section.

    The Header for the question section appears.

  3. Select the Preferences tab.

  4. For each question for which you use collaborative scoring, choose Manually score under Scoring Method.

  5. In the questions section, choose Adjust Question Weights.

    The Adjust Weights screen appears.

  6. For each question, type a weight for the Question Weight or select it using the scale slider.

    Optionally, select the Weight Locked checkbox to keep the weight from being automatically adjusted.

  7. Choose Sum Weights to total the question weights. To automatically adjust the weights to total 100, click Adjust to 100.

    The sum of the weights must be 100.

  8. Choose OK.

  9. Save the document.

  10. On the Questions tab, choose Adjust Section Weights and repeat steps 6 through 9.

  11. On the Questions tab, choose the status Ready for Release for all sections.

  12. Enter additional RFx information as needed.
