SM50 in Detail: Detailed Information About a Work ProcessLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

There are two ways to display details about a work process:

  • Double-click on the work process

  • Select the work process and choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step  Process Information End of the navigation path

The details provide information about statistics, ABAP stack, and the application.

Name in Detail Information

Explanation

Overview

The overview contains information about memory statistics, database statistics, SQL statements, and ABAP stack.

If you want to actively work with the entries in, for example, memory statistics, you have to go to the info area by choosing the Memory Statistics pushbutton on the left.

Memory Statistics

The following memory types are displayed: Memory (Gross), Memory (Net), Memory (ABAP), Memory (Hyper), Memory (Heap), Memory (Max. per Transaction), Memory (Max. per Request).

The memory types are explained in the F1 help in the system.

Database statisics

Here you can display statistics about database actions, such as add, change, or delete. The following database actions are displayed in the statistics: direct read, sequential read, insert, update, delete, sources, total bytes, commit, DB procedure calls.

These database actions are explained in the F1 help in the system.

SQL Information

The SQL statement currently being executed.

Runtime Information

The name of the main program.

Application Information

Additional information about the application being used.

These database actions are explained in the F1 help in the system.

Process Information

Here various attributes of the work process are displayed.

The individual attributes are explained in the F1 help in the system.

Note

To display F1 help in the system, select an entry in a table (memory statistics, databaser statistics, SQL information, runtime information, application information, process information). Press the F1 key to call the relevant help documentation.

Note Depending on the configuration of the process overview some of the functions described may not be displayed. How you can customize the process overview to suit your worknig situation is described in "Configuration of the Process Overview".
