Data Retrieval

With ALV with IDA, data retrieval is not executed by the application, instead, ALV with IDA is parameterized by the application. ALV with IDA supports the most disparate of requests and thereby sets the conditions for selecting data. The different requests have to be fulfilled in this relationship:

• Setting conditions for data selection, such as input values for a selection screen
• Setting the necessary authorization checks
• Processing enhanced services on the database side, such as a text search with fuzzy logic.
