Processing Top Texts via the DEMS Objects (Administration) Dialog BoxLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

  • The role assigned to your system user includes authorization object S_ADMI_FCD with activity TRNR, or your system user has the authorization profile SAP_ALL
  • Top texts have been generated

Context

You can use the DEMS Objects (Administration) dialog box to call up top text objects in a worklist that is generated on-the-fly.

Procedure

  1. Call transaction Translation Administration (LXE_MASTER).
  2. Choose Start of the navigation path DEMS Objects Next navigation step Administration End of the navigation path .

    The DEMS Objects (Administration) dialog box appears. The total number of DEMS objects that currently exist in the system appears in the Total Number field.

  3. Enter the following in the Object Name field: <source language>*TOP*<target language>*

    For example, if you want to process top text objects that were created for source language German target language English, enter deDE*TOP*enUS*

    For more information on the technical names of top text objects, see the Results section of Creating Top Texts.

  4. Choose Select Objects.

    The number of selected DEMS objects appears in the Selected field.

  5. In the Edit Selection group box, choose Worklist.

    The Source Language dialog box appears.

  6. Select the source language of the DEMS objects that you selected in steps 3 and 4.

    The Target Language dialog box appears.

  7. Select the target language of the DEMS objects that you selected in steps 3 and 4.

Results

The selected top text objects are listed in an on-the-fly worklist. You can now process them via the worklist in accordance with Processing Top Texts.

Note

The translation status of the top text objects in your on-the-fly worklist is not displayed. If you want to see the translation status of some or all of the objects, select a node in the worklist structure and choose Start of the navigation path Utilities Next navigation step Refresh Status End of the navigation path. The system displays the translation status of all top text objects assigned to the selected node. This function is performance-intensive, so you are advised to avoid refreshing the status of too many objects at once.
