Use

The Diagnosis user menu of the DBA Cockpit contains a display of the information for runtime analysis of database system bottlenecks detected using the XCONS database tool (database console).

Procedure

  1. Open the DBA Cockpit (transaction DBACOCKPIT) and choose Start of the navigation path Diagnosis Next navigation step Database Console End of the navigation path.

  2. Select the required command. There are commands available for obtaining information from a wide range of different areas, for example, disk accesses, process analysis or memory management.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation path Database Console Next navigation step Execute Command End of the navigation path.

Caution

For SAP NetWeaver 7.1, you can access the database console through the Database Console user menu.

Result

The required information is retrieved from the database console and immediately displayed on the screen. You can save the results as a local file.

SYSMON Tables

If the database is in the operational state ONLINE, you can display the SYSMON tables. To do so, choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step SYSMON Table Display End of the navigation path.

Example

Displaying information about critical sections:

To do this, choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step SYSMON Table Display End of the navigation path. Enter the table name SYSMON_REGION.
