Copying Best Proposals into all New LinesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

While translating in the short text editor, you can use the Copy Best Proposals into all New Lines function to copy best proposals into new translation lines in the object you are currently translating. The quality status of the best proposals is taken into account before proposals are copied.

Procedure

  1. Call up a short text object for translation.
  2. Choose Copy Best Proposals into all New Lines or Proposal Pool Start of the navigation path Copy Best Proposals into New Lines or Proposal Pool Next navigation step Copy Best Proposal Next navigation step All New Lines End of the navigation path.
The Copy Proposals as of Status dialog box appears.
  3. Double-click the quality status as of which you want to copy best proposals into new translation lines. The system automatically copies best proposals with a higher quality status too.
Your translator profile determines the quality status as of which you can copy best proposals. For more information, see Translator Profiles.
  4. Check the best proposals that have been copied into the translation lines before you save the translations.

Results

The system copies best proposals into new translation lines if their quality status is the same as or higher than the quality status you selected. A message tells you how many best proposals were copied.
