The translation data files that you exported from another system must be available in a directory that this system can access.
Before you import translation data (that is, proposal pools or fingerprints), see Translation Data Transports for the benefits of importing existing translation data into a new system where you intend to translate, and an explanation of the basic concepts.

LXE_MASTER.
looks in the directory that you entered in the
Directory field and extracts the target languages
from the names of the export files for the system specified in the
Source System field.
If no translation data exists for the source and target language combinations, leave the Insert Mode checkbox selected.
If translation data already exists for the source and target language combinations, and if you want it to remain unchanged by the import, leave the Insert Mode checkbox selected.
For example, the German to English proposal pool already contains the following entry:
German source text: Sichern
English system standard with quality status B: Save
The import file contains exactly the same entry, except that the quality status of the English proposal is A. If you leave the Insert Mode checkbox selected, the import does not change the existing proposal pool entry.
If translation data already exists for the source and target language combinations, and if you deselect the Insert Mode checkbox, existing translation data is overwritten by translation data in the import file whenever conflicts occur. If you want to import deleted proposals, then you must deselect the Insert Mode checkbox.
For example, the German to English proposal pool already contains the following entry:
German source text: Löschen
English system standard with quality status S: Delete
English system standard with quality status B: Remove
The import file contains exactly the same entry, except that the quality status of the English proposal Delete is A, and the quality status of the English proposal Remove is Z, which means it has been deleted . If you deselect the Insert Mode checkbox, the import overwrites the existing proposal pool entries and therefore changes their quality statuses from S to A, and from B to Z.
A proposal in the import file is not imported into the system, not even in overwrite mode, if the proposal pool already contains an identical proposal with exactly the same quality status. In the above example, this means that the English system standard with quality status S Delete for the German source text Löschen would not be overwritten by another English system standard with quality status S Delete for the German source text Löschen, because such an import would be completely pointless.
However, a deleted proposal in the import file is imported into the system even if it does not overwrite (and therefore delete) an existing proposal. This prevents subsequent proposal pool imports that are executed in insert mode from creating a proposal that has been deleted elsewhere.
If you want to import the entire proposal pool for the specified source and target language combinations, leave the default settings unchanged.
If you only want to import proposals for a specific domain, use the input help to specify the domain in the Domain Name field.
If you only want to import proposals with specific quality statuses, use the input help for the Quality Status (From) and Quality Status (To) fields to specify the required quality statuses.
For example, if you only want to import proposals with status A, use the input help to select A for both fields. If you only want to import proposals with quality statuses S and A, use the input help to select S in the Quality Status (From) and A in the Quality Status (To) fields.
If you want the proposal pool import to include deleted proposals, make sure that the Quality Status (From) field is empty.
If you want to restrict the proposal pool import to deleted proposals only, make sure that the Quality Status (From) and Quality Status (To) fields are both empty.
Use the checkboxes to determine whether to import standard proposals (that is, system standards and domain standards), abbreviations, or exceptions. You can select more than one checkbox.

The system creates entries for your proposal pool and fingerprint imports in table LXE_LOG_DATA_TRP so that you have a record of them.
