Old Messages
In the Kernel user menu, you can find, among other things, a display of the old kernel log.
The messages output to the kernel log knldiag.old support you during the interpretation of the events that occurred before the liveCache was started. The following messages are recorded in chronological order:
· Database start and stop
· Specifications about the physical memory areas
· User processes
· System error messages
This log was generated before the start of the liveCache as a backup copy.
The user has been assigned a role in accordance with the authorization concept. You are in the user menu of the user with the authorizations that correspond to this role.

1. In the user menu, choose liveCache Assistant(transaction LC10).

Enter the name of the database
connection.
You can select the name from the list of existing names. You can restrict the
search for the required name.
3. Choose liveCache → Monitoring.
4. Choose Problem Analysis → Messages → Kernel → Old
The system displays the old log (kernel log knldiag.old ).
· You can use the navigation help (start of file, end of file, start of write cycle, current write position) for orientation within the message files.
· Choose Import File to update the output.
