Identify the Central Monitoring System for the
NW Administrator
You can use the SAP NetWeaver
Administrator to display all monitoring data from the
monitoring
infrastructure. There are two plug-ins available that can display
monitoring data from the central monitoring system (this system will be
abbreviated here to CEN).

To be able to display this data in the NW Administrator, you need to enter the connection data for CEN in the Visual Administrator of the relevant system.

To display the monitoring data, CEN and all systems that are monitored by CEN must be contained in the System Landscape Directory that you use for the NW Administrator (see Configuring the SAP NetWeaver Administrator to Work with the SLD).
To create the RFC connection to CEN, proceed as follows:

1. Start the Visual Administrator of the J2EE Engine on which you are using the NW Administrator.
2. In the navigation bar, choose Server → Services → JCo RFC Provider → Runtime.
3. Make the following entries on the Bundles tab page:

Enter the connection data for the CEN gateway here; by default, the gateway service uses the naming convention sapgw<System No.>. |

Enter the connection data for a CEN application server. |

Enter the logon data for a user in CEN here. The user requires authorization to call transaction RZ20 (Alert Monitor). |
4. To create the connection, choose the Set button.
