Creating Master Data Selections 

Procedure

       1.      In the CTM profile, choose Edit → Master Data Selection.

The Selection of CTM Master Data screen appears, which is divided into two areas: the left side contains the selection area, and the right side contains the working area with various tab pages.

       2.      In the working area in the Master Data Selection field, enter a name and choose  Create.

       3.      On the Settings tab page, enter the name of the supply chain model for which you want to create a master data selection. Confirm with  Enter.

       4.      On the Settings tab page, choose the selection type Static or Dynamic for the master data objects location product, in-house production source of supply, or external procurement source of supply.

       5.      Enter the selection criteria in the  Selection window, or double-click on an existing selection in the navigation tree. For more information, see Creating and Managing Selections.

The system selects all master data in the supply chain model that fulfill the selection criteria, and displays the results in the working area on the tab pages Location Products, Ext. Procurement, or In-House Prod.

You can change the results of a static master data selection by adding or deleting entries.

       6.      Save the master data selection.

Result

You enter the name of the master data selection in the CTM profile on the Planning Scope tab page. In the next planning run, CTM planning will only consider the master data according to the selection criteria you have specified.
