Creating
and Managing Selections
You can create different selections and manage them in your selection profile. You need selections for dynamic master data selection. You can also use selections to define static master data selection.
You have created a master data selection.

In the
selection area, choose the
selection window.
The Object Selection dialog box appears.
2. Enter the criteria for the selection in the form of a search query as follows:
¡ Choose selection criteria from the list fields, for example, show all In-House Production Sources of Supply that meet the following conditions: Product.
¡ In the relevant input field (such as for the product), enter the search term, for example, XYZ. You can use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard in the search string.

Choose
Adopt.
The system selects all master data in the supply chain model that fulfill the selection criteria, and displays the results in the working area on the relevant tab pages.

Once
you are happy with the results of your selection, open the
selection window again in the selection
area.

Choose
Save
Selection.
A dialog box appears.
3. Enter a name for your selection and choose Save.
The selection window reappears.

In the
selection area, choose the
Selection profile.
The Maintain Selection Profiles for Users window appears, which is divided into two areas:
¡ The left side contains your selection profile and all the assigned selections. Your selection profile has your user name and is displayed as a folder.
¡ The right area contains all selections created by users in CTM in the current client.
In order that the system displays your selection in the navigation tree in the selection area, you must copy the selection into your selection profile.
2. In the right-hand area, select your selection. Keep the mouse button pressed down and drag the selection into your folder on the left side. Once you reach your folder, let go of the mouse button.
There is now a copy of your selection in your selection profile.
3. Save the selection profile.
The master data selection reappears. Your selection is displayed in the navigation tree of the selection area.
