Use

You want to configure the component systems in your system landscape by:

Importing BC Sets, CATTs, and eCATT test configurations

      Editing IMG activities

      Importing Add-On transport requests

      Running transactions or programs (reports)

Prerequisites

You have called the Configuration transaction and chosen the Configuration tab. If you want to import and transport preconfiguration, you have created a Customizing request and a Workbench request in the Project Administration of the relevant systems.

Procedure

Importing Preconfiguration into Component Systems

Activate BC Sets

...

       1.      To activate a BC Set, choose Configure on the Configuration tab. You can activate several BC Sets in different component systems at the same time.

       2.      In the Data Comparison and Transfer dialog box, choose the Start Data Transfer button.

The Status field shows the current status of the BC Set activation. The system logs the BC Set activation.

Release transport request

...

       1.      To release transport requests, select the transport request on the Configuration tab, and choose Configure. The Add-On Installation Tool appears. When you have imported the Add-Ons, their Customizing content is written to the transferred Workbench request for further transport.

       2.      To return to the Configuration tab page, choose Back.

More information: SAP Add-On Installation Tool.

Configure CATT and eCATT tests

...

To configure a CATT or an eCATT test, choose Configure on the Configuration tab. Immediately after configuring CATTs and eCATT tests, the system displays a log. You can configure several CATTs or eCATT tests for each component system at the same time.

Editing an IMG Object

...

       1.      To edit an IMG object, double-click the Object column.

You go to Execute Project in the component system Implementation Guide (IMG). You can now examine and modify configuration imported by activating the BC Sets.

       2.      Edit the IMG activity.

       3.      Save the status and the documentation of your Customizing settings.

       4.      To return to the Configuration tab page, save your entries and choose Back.

More information: Assigning IMG Documentation.

Editing Documentation

...

In the Type field, select Document.

More information: Edit Documents.

Displaying/Changing Administration Information

Choose the person responsible for a configuration step by using the input help to select that person in the Person Responsible field. The system displays a selection list of project team members whom you specified in the Project Administration.

To change the processing status of a configuration step, call the input help for the Processing Status field. The system displays a selection list of the status values that you specified in the Project Administration.

Inserting Rows

To insert rows, select a row and choose Insert Several Rows. The system moves the row above the selected row upwards, and hides all other rows. These table rows are not deleted. To show the hidden table rows again, choose Enter.

Inserting Assignment Names

The system usually automatically inserts a name for assignments to a structure element, for example, for transactions and IMG objects.

Note

If the system does not automatically enter a name for the assignment and <Name Not Found> is shown in the Name column, trigger the insertion of names for the assignments manually:

Choose Environment Refresh Assignment Texts.

When the system has refreshed the assignment texts, it opens a new session and displays a log.

Result

You have made system settings for your implementation project.

You can test your settings on the Test Cases tab or plan and perform larger tests using the Test Workbench.
