Configuring Embedded Processes 

Purpose

Using this IT process, you tailor a workflow to suit your specific needs and requirements.

Use of the Process

Prerequisites

You have modeled the required workflows in the Integration Builder and defined the steps and data to be processed. 

Process Flow

The following IT process applies to the usage type AS ABAP:

       1.      Define responsibilities and agent assignment

You can define the rules for agent assignment in the Workflow Builder.

       2.      Define deadlines.

You can set deadline monitoring for given steps of a workflow. You can, for example, define and specify requested starts and deadlines.

       3.      Define task descriptions.

You define the text that users see when they need to execute a task, for example, the description of the tasks and alternative decisions to be executed.

       4.      Activate event linkage.

Applications can trigger certain events, such as “Document created”, for example. A workflow can react to these events, for example, the workflow is started. In addition to these application events, you can also define workflow-specific events. To enable a workflow to “use” these events, you activate the relevant event linkages.

Result

Workflows can run and be executed.
