You can display the business function sets and business functions available for a managed system. You can also access business function information, for example release notes.

Before you can use the Switch Framework Cockpit, read the Switch Framework data.

If you have activated a change, refresh the Switch Framework data display. Discard the Switch Framework data for a system if you no longer need it, to improve performance.

Prerequisites

  • At least SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 is installed in the managed systems

  • The managed system has a TRUSTED RFC connection to the Solution Manager system.

Procedure

Read or Discard Switch Framework Data
  1. Select a system for which the Switch Framework function in the SAP Solution Manager is available. The symbol and quick info in the SFW Status column show you whether this function is available.

    Note Note

A system is selected if one of its business function is selected.

You can select several systems with CTRL. A lot of data is collected, so performance will be worse if you select several systems.

    End of the note.
  2. Choose   Switch Framework Data   Read/Update  .

The system shows all available and selected Business Functions Sets and business functions, and their statuses. It also shows the dependencies between business functions. If there is no symbol in the Dependencies column, the business function has no dependencies.

Display Business Function Information
  1. Select the business function.

The system gives an overview of the information available about a business function, at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Click on the link to display the information in a separate screen.

Or you can select   Information   Display <Information>  .

You can also show additional columns of links to information, in the list.

Discard Switch Framework data
  1. Select a system.

  2. Choose   Switch Framework Data   Discard  .
