Changing Processes
You can adapt and enhance the reference models shipped by SAP to suit your specific needs and requirements. If you need to integrate legacy or third-party systems, enhance the model to incorporate the relevant integration scenarios and the corresponding integration processes.
Integration processes are cross-component, executable processes that enable stateful processing of messages through the exchange of messages between systems. They enable you to define control structures, such as loops or parallel processing branches.
This process is part of the following IT scenarios:

You have added the required reference models to your project. In doing so, you make these available in a separate namespace and can make any changes required.
1. Change reference model in project namespace (ARIS for SAP NetWeaver).
You can change and extend the reference model. You assign all the relevant business scenarios, business processes and process steps.
2. Define integration strategy in a model (ARIS for SAP NetWeaver).
From a business perspective, you analyze which additional systems need to be integrated, such as third-party or legacy systems. In the next step, you then derive the required integration scenarios from this model.
3. Create integration scenario based on the project scope (PI).
You can define the message exchange for collaborative processes in an integration scenario. This generally involves processes between various business partners that are loosely linked with each other by the exchange of messages. The integration scenario provides you with a central point of access for all objects that you require for semantic and technical integration, such as interfaces and mappings.
4. Find process pattern and use in process model (PI).
Certain combinations of process steps, such as the collection and bundling of XML messages, are frequently required. SAP provides these common combinations as process patterns. You can include these in your own processes and adapt them as required.
The Business Blueprint is defined in SAP Solution Manager. The definition of the Business Blueprint provides you with a detailed description of your business processes and the system requirements.
The integration requirements are defined in the form of integration scenarios and integration processes.
