Schedule Process Chains 

Use

You copy the data from the SAP Solution Manager into a Business Intelligence (BI) InfoCube, using the process chains.

Prerequisites

You have authorization.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Process Chain Plan View (transaction RSPC) in the SAP Solution Manager system.

       2.      Choose SAP Solution Manager Init. under SAP Solution Manager, in the left-hand hierarchy tree, to initialize the process chains.

       3.      Choose Schedule.

A dialog box, in which you can set the priority, appears.

       4.      Select the priority with which the job is to run.

       5.      Confirm your entries.

       6.      Choose Logs in the menu, to monitor the load process.

 

Loading can take between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on the amount of data to be processed, e.g. number of systems, and the performance of the systems and interfaces.

If a process chain has the status red, its data is not written into the InfoCube. To analyze the error:

■       Double-click on the process chain in the monitor.

The status messages tell you about errors. The initialization must have worked, for the process chain SAP Solution Manager Delta to be started.

       7.      Start the process chain SAP Solution Manager Delta.

Result

The process chains control the extraction, transfer and loading of data from the SAP Solution Manager into the BI InfoCubes. You can now use the predefined work folders.
