This function creates job requests to:

You can display existing job requests. For more information, see Displaying Job Requests.

A job request is based on a Service Desk message with job and job documentation entries.

Prerequisites

  • You have configured the Service Desk in SAP Solution Manager. For more information about the respective settings, see the Customizing for SAP Solution Manager under:

    •   SAP Solution Manager   Scenario-Specific Settings   Service Desk  

    •   SAP Solution Manager   Scenario-Specific Settings   Job Scheduling  

  • For the CRM-based SAP Solution Manager applications, you have made the iBase-specific settings. Amongst other things, you have defined your system landscape and an installation (iBase). For more information, see the Customizing for SAP Solution Manager under:

      SAP Solution Manager   Scenario-Specific Settings   iBase  

  • You have opened the Job Request application.

Features

  • You can find and view your Service Desk message. You have the following options:

    • Via the Job Management work center in the Job Requests screen

    • Alternatively in transaction CRM_DNO_MONITOR

    Note Note

    All functions of the job request are available via the Job Management work center.

  • There are two views for the job request:

    • A Basic View with the Simple Job Request for end users with little knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and job scheduling

    • A Detail View with the Detailed Job Request for end users with SAP Solution Manager and job scheduling expertise
