Creating Rule Determination
In the rule determination, you enter data for the key combination of a condition table and assign a rule to it.
You made all relevant settings for the condition technique and created the rules.
...
1. From the SAP Easy Access screen select Advanced Planning and Optimization → Master Data → Rule Maintenance → Create Rule Determination.
2. Choose a condition type.
If you have defined more than one table, choose Edit à Key combination.
You have chosen a condition type. All condition tables that can be maintained are displayed. These are the condition tables that have been assigned to the access sequence referred to by the selected condition type. The Create Rule Determination dialog box appears.
3. Choose a key combination and then Execute.
You branch to the Fast Entry for Condition Type screen.
4. Enter the relevant data in the corresponding key fields and choose a rule using the input help (F4).

Note: The system does not check the data entered in the key fields for consistency.
- This means that if you were to make a typo, the system could not find the rule because the values would not match the values in the OLTP system.
- If you use conversion exits (for example, for the material number), you must use the original field format (before converting).
Example:
Material number in the OLTP system (before converting): MAT_01
Material number in SAP APO (after converting): MAT_01@OLTP
This means that in the rule determination you must use the key values in the same format in which they were copied to SAP APO at runtime.
5. Choose Rule determination à Save.
