Application Locking Service
The Application Locking service is the interface for J2EE applications to the Locking Manager and the functions provided by the Enqueue Service. If a J2EE application needs to work with locks, it uses the Application Locking service.
The architecture of
the layers that are built up on each other is described in
Architecture of the
Locking Adapter Service.
The section Troubleshooting explains how you look for and solve any problems throughout the layers.
You can use the following tools for monitoring and testing the Application Locking service:
· Use the Visual Administrator. This is described below.
· Use shell commands with the telnet administrator. For more information, see Administration of the Application Locking Service Using the Console.
The following functions are available:
● Open Sessions: All open sessions that contain locks are displayed.
● Run Tests: Here you can test the locks at application level. There are functional tests (Execute functional tests) and load tests (Execute load tests).
● Time Statistics: Here you can read the statistics. The statistics are always active. You can refresh or reset them.
