Procedure documentationMaintaining Dashboard Categories

 

In Dashboard Builder, all information is delivered in dashboards, which are grouped in categories. In Dashboard Builder, the categories and their dashboards are displayed in a navigation panel on the left-hand side of the screen.

This procedure describes how to create a new category, or modify the existing custom categories.

Procedure

To change the dashboard categories, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose the Edit Dashboard pushbutton.

  2. On the Edit Dashboard screen, choose the Edit pushbutton next to the Category dropdown list.

  3. On the Edit Dashboard Category screen, you can choose from the following functions:

    • To add a new category, choose the Add pushbutton and specify the new category name.

    • To modify an existing category, change the name directly in the category table.

    • To delete a category, select the category, and choose the Delete pushbutton.

    • To change the order of categories in the navigation panel, select a category, and choose the Up or Down pushbutton in the toolbar.

  4. Choose Save. On a selection screen, you are asked to enter a transport request. Choose an existing transport request or create a new one, then choose OK (for more information, see Transporting a Dashboard).

Result

You have changed the category list in the navigation panel.
