Procedure documentationTransporting a Dashboard

 

In Dashboard Builder, all information is delivered in dashboards. Usually, after creating a dashboard (see Creating and Editing Dashboards), you want to transport it from the development system to the test system or production system.

Prerequisites

You are creating a new dashboard, or modifying an existing one. When saving the dashboard, the Assign Package and Transport Request screen opened.

Procedure

  1. For a new dashboard, specify the package to which it belongs.

    Note Note

    If you are changing an existing dashboard, the package may already be assigned in the transport request selection dialog, and cannot be changed.

  2. Choosing the input help for the Request/task field displays a list of existing open transport requests assigned to you. Choose one of them.

    If no open transport request is available, select the Create New Transport Request radio button and make an entry in the Short Description field.

  3. Choose the OK pushbutton.

  4. To transport your dashboard, start the Transport Organizer (transaction SE09), find your request, and release it.

Result

The dashboard is put in a transport request.
