The alert inbox gives an overview of critical metrics for which there are open alert groups in Business Process Monitoring based on Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure (MAI), for your monitored business processes. You can display the status of the current alert group, the worst rating of all alert groups, and the last change. Only objects for which there are open alert groups are listed here, so objects for which all data collections had a green rating, or for which all alert groups have been confirmed, are not listed here.
When you select an alert, the system displays detailed information about the business context, in the Alerts
table.
When you have analyzed the cause of the alert, you can confirm that it has been handled.

The Alert Inbox comprises the following areas:
Auto Refresh
In this area, you choose the auto-refresh time interval. For example, you can choose how frequently the system refreshes the query tables. The query tables of the business process monitoring on MAI are refreshed according to this time interval.
Active Queries
In this area, you manage your Alert Inbox
, and can adjust the display to your requirements. You select the business context.
There are queries to display the alerts, one query per alert category. The alert categories are:
Throughput & Backlog
Job
Interface
Consistency
Exceptions
Performance
Business context
The business context allows you to understand the related business process and to navigate to the process graphic, which displays the process flow and the status of all monitored process elements (steps and interfaces). .
The functions available depend on the business context, your authorization, and your settings. This document only explains functions which are available to all users.
You can export the alert list into external files.
You create incident messages to report a problem to support. You can create incident messages in the following roles:
As a user or customer
As a support employee, on behalf of a user
You can create an incident message with a pushbutton, and send it to the position responsible.

You can confirm the processing of an alert by choosing the Confirm
pushbutton. Your confirmation is automatically put in the alert list. You can enter a comment.
You can create and send notifications about alerts, to recipients.
Guided procedures help you to resolve alerts. If the alerts table displays an icon in the Guided Procedures column, a guided procedure has been executed for that group.
You can adjust the alert list view to your requirements. You can display alerts by time, for example, you can display only those alerts for the last month.
