In change documents connected to the Change and Transport System, you can use various functions from the Transport Management System. These functions allow you to carry out and monitor transports between SAP systems.
Display and create transport requests, test transports, and tasks
Releasing of transport requests and test transports
Display of various information on transport requests, such as the status, whether they contain critical objects, or whether there are conflicts

The transport requests can have the following statuses:
Changeable: The transport request is either modifiable or modifiable and protected.
Releasing
Released
CTS Project Changed
Display of the retrofit status
The Retrofit Status
column is only displayed in the Transport Management
assignment block if there is a retrofit system for the relevant system landscape. If a transport request is released, the retrofit status is displayed. If the transport request is not released, the retrofit status is not displayed as no retrofit data is available.
The following retrofit statuses are possible:
Retrofit data created - Process retrofit
Retrofit successful - Retrofit manual
Retrofit successful - Retrofitted
Retrofit successful - Retrofit not relevant
Retrofit successful - Retrofit rejected
Error while creating retrofit data
Retrofit data not created - Status not available
Start retrofit from the Transport Management
assignment block
If the change document (urgent change or normal change) or the change cycle is in status “Authorized for Production”, you can trigger the retrofit from the assignment block, choosing . This option is active for the following phases as well.
Display of tasks for transport requests: When you choose Display Details
, the tasks for the selected transport request are displayed in a new screen area.

Display of the transport log: The connected system is called automatically to do this.
