Procedure documentationCreating a Drill-Down View

In the Dashboard Builder, all information is delivered in dashboards. A dashboard consists of one of more tiles, each of which typically displays the values of one KPI. If you choose a tile, the drill-down views for this tile are displayed. A drill-down view typically displays more detailed information about the KPI, e.g. the development of the KPI value over time.

Note Note

For information about how to create a tile, see Creating a Tile.

End of the note.

This procedure explains how to create a drill-down view for a KPI.

Procedure

To add a drill-down view to an existing tile, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose an existing tile for which the Detail Page Template has been specified. A list of the existing drill-down views of the tile is displayed.

  2. Choose the Add button (+) next to the dropdown box, to open the drill-down view configuration window. You go to the screen Add New KPI.

  3. Fill in the following property fields of this drill-down view.

    Description

    Drill-Down Name

Enter the title of the view. It is displayed when the drill-down view is displayed.

    Data Source Type

    Data Source Name

Three types of data source are supported.

    • Function Module (or more information, see Using a Function Module as Data Source)

    • BW Query

    • Business Process Analytics

Business Process Analytics is an analysis repository which contains many pre-defined key figures about business processes, e.g. sales order, inventory, etc. By setting up connectors, data can be extracted from managed systems to database tables or BW cubes in the SAP Solution Manager, or be retrieved in real-time.

    Jump to Generic Analytics Application

This is a generic FPM-BICS (BI Consumer Service) template, which is an ad-hoc analysis tool based on the Floorplan Manager (FPM). This flag is only displayed for BW queries.

In the screen Define Filter Values, you can maintain the filter operator and the value.
