Creating a Drill-Down View
In the Dashboard Builder, all information is delivered in dashboards. A dashboard consists of one of more tiles, each of which typically displays the values of one KPI. If you choose a tile, the drill-down views for this tile are displayed. A drill-down view typically displays more detailed information about the KPI, e.g. the development of the KPI value over time.
This procedure explains how to create a drill-down view for a KPI.
To add a drill-down view to an existing tile, proceed as follows:
Choose an existing tile for which the Detail Page Template
has been specified. A list of the existing drill-down views of the tile is displayed.
Choose the Add
button (+) next to the dropdown box, to open the drill-down view configuration window. You go to the screen Add New KPI
.
Fill in the following property fields of this drill-down view.
Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Enter the title of the view. It is displayed when the drill-down view is displayed. |
| Three types of data source are supported.
|
| This is a generic FPM-BICS (BI Consumer Service) template, which is an ad-hoc analysis tool based on the Floorplan Manager (FPM). This flag is only displayed for BW queries. |
| You can choose between different chart types. |
| By choosing this flag, you can jump to other applications in SAP Solution Manager. |
After filling the data source field, press the Enter key to activate the data source configuration view. Depending on the data source, a list of Available Fields
is displayed. From this list, specify the fields to be displayed in Rows
and Colums
.
For the characteristics in Available Fields
, Rows
and Columns
, you can set a filter value, by choosing the context menu of the characteristic, and selecting . In the screen Define Filter Values
, you can maintain the filter operator and the value.
To save the tile configuration, choose Save
. In a selection screen, you are asked for a transport request. Choose an existing transport request or create a new one, then choose OK
(for more information, see Transporting a Dashboard).
You have created a new drill-down view of an existing tile. The view will be displayed when you choose the tile.
