Attaching Non-ABAP Objects from a File System (CTS_ORGANIZER)Locate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites
Note CTS_ORGANIZER is available only if the CTS plug-in is installed in the ABAP system in which you start Transport Organizer Web UI. Otherwise, CTS_BROWSER is used.
  • A transport request has the status Modifiable in Transport Organizer Web UI.

  • You have exported the file and saved it to the appropriate file system.

  • If you want to attach a file from the CTS Server: You have defined the directory on the CTS server in which Transport Organizer searches for file. This is done using the parameter NON_ABAP_WBO_INBOX.

For more information, see Parameters for Non-ABAP Transports.

Procedure

Procedure in Transport Organizer Web UI (CTS_ORGANIZER)

  1. Select the transport request to which you want to attach an object.

  2. Choose the Object List tab page in the Details view. You can see all objects that have already been attached.

  3. To attach an object to the selected request, switch to change mode.

  4. On the Object List tab page, choose Attach.

      2. Select the appropriate application.

      5. After you have added all files that you wanted to attach to the transport request, choose Attach to confirm.

    • Server:

The directory defined in the parameter NON_ABAP_WBO_INBOX is displayed.

      1. Select the relevant file in this directory.

      2. Select the appropriate application.

      4. The attached objects appear in the object list.

      5. Optional: Attach further objects to the transport request in this way until all the required files are in the object list.

  6. Check in the Object List whether all attached files are contained in it.

  7. Optional: To check your entries, choose Validate.

  8. To confirm the attachment of the files, choose Save Changes.
