Mapping Users: Administrator Tool
This iView enables administrators to enter mapping data for users, groups, and roles. This is used if an application uses one technical user to access a system connected to the portal. The administrator enters the credentials of this system user for a group or role and all users assigned to this group or role use the same logon data to connect to the system.
This tool also enables you to map user IDs, however normally each user maps their own user data as described in Mapping Users: User Enters Own Data.
You have user administration rights in the portal.
...
1. In the portal, choose User Administration → Identity Management.
2. Select the user, group, or role that you want to map to a user.

For SAP reference systems, you cannot map groups or roles to a user in the SAP reference system. You can only map a user to a user.
3. Choose Modify.
4. Choose the User Mapping for System Access tab.
5. In the System field, choose the component system for which you wish to map data.
The input fields for this system are displayed. Which input fields appear, depends on information from the system landscape definition.
If the mapped user ID is stored in a read-only LDAP directory, the User field is disabled and cannot be modified.
6. Enter the user ID and password to which you want to map the user, group or role.

If you require
the user ID only for Single Sign-On with SAP logon tickets, you must still
enter the password to validate the user ID you have entered, unless you have
set the property ume.usermapping.admin.pwdprotection
to disable it. For more
information about this UME
property, see
User
Mapping.
7. Save your entries.

You can also delete the mapping information by choosing Clear.
If an entry has been saved for a particular data source, an (X) appears beside the relevant system in the list.
