Using the Universal
Worklist
The universal worklist (UWL) allows you to manage your work by bringing together tasks from different workflow systems. These include:
● Workflows
● Alerts
● Notifications from Knowledge Management (KM)
● Notifications from SAP Business Workplace (SAP Office Mail)
● Collaboration tasks
The Universal Worklist (UWL) provides central access to tasks, alerts, and authorizations. You use the UWL to manage and monitor your tasks.
The UWL does the following:
● Provides a uniform layout and central access to your work and required information
● Summarizes workflow tasks from different systems in a worklist
● Displays additional information from document and object repositories, if necessary, including attachments and other details
● Supports decision making and actions
● Helps you personalize the display of your tasks
● Enables you to define another user as a substitute for your tasks in the event of an unplanned absence
The collaboration task makes it possible for you to create tasks spontaneously using the task creation wizard.
In this guide you will find the following:
● Navigating the UWL user interface and using the functions on the user interface
● Functions provided by UWL
● Personalizing the UWL display
